NJ Credit Education and Counseling
Learning to manage one’s spending is the most important thing an individual can do to ensure their family’s financial future. Unfortunately, too many Americans are struggling with unmanageable mortgage payments, credit card debt, and out of control spending habits.
Financial education is the most common method people choose to achieve financial literacy. Logically, one might expect basic financial education to be taught in high school and college. Unfortunately, you would be wrong. Less than 10% of high school and college students receive training in personal finance.
Financial literacy can empower you with the financial knowledge to create household budgets, initiate savings plans, manage debt, and make wise investment decisions. Having these basic financial planning skills can also help families meet their near term obligations and to maximize their longer term financial well being.
